Tampa Housing Authority, Florida established in 1939, provides decent, affordable housing for eligible low-income families, people with disabilities, and the elderly through 23 apartment communities with 2,256 Project Based units, 17 Mixed-Financed, Mixed Income communities with 3,118 units, and an assisted Living Facility with 76 beds. Public Housing provides subsidized housing with more than 11,800 Housing Choice Vouchers/Section 8 for area Landlords. Tampa Housing Authority, a High-Performer Housing Authority, is governed by seven Board of Commissioners and serves Hillsborough County.

Tampa Housing Authority, Florida offers Family Self-Sufficiency FSS Programs, After School and Summer Youth Programs at the Oaks at Riverview Community Center, Girl Scouts, Youth and Family Counseling Services, Job Development Training, YouthBuild Services, Resident Councils and much more.
