Tampa Housing Authority Welcomes Commissioner Thomas Murphy
Nov. 04, 2025-Tampa, Fla.-The Tampa Housing Authority (THA) is pleased to welcome Thomas H. Murphy, a newly appointed member of its Board of Commissioners. Murphy recently completed his onboarding with the THA Executive Team, gaining firsthand insight into agency operations and visiting several THA properties across the city.
"Thomas is a leader deeply engaged in the Tampa community," said Jerome D. Ryans, President and CEO of the Tampa Housing Authority. "His passion for people, his commitment to neighborhood preservation, and his experience in real estate make him an invaluable addition to our Board. We are honored to welcome him."
Murphy brings a strong background in civic engagement and housing advocacy. A longtime resident of Tampa Heights, he has served as Chair of the Central Park Community Advisory Committee and is a dedicated volunteer with Meals on Wheels. His professional experience in real estate is rooted in building trust and fostering inclusive growth.
